Description: Height 22 cm. with the glass.
Fine older carafe with overhanging glass, decorated with border a la grecque / meander border.

The carafe is from the early 1900s, when cut decorations like this were popular. The border is a pantograph where the motif is cut into the glass via a series of small copper wheels that run on a negative of the same subject, where the engraver will follow these lines, as a template.

The glass has a little impurity, but the carafe is in good condition.
