Neptune was designed by Darryle Hinz and was in production from 1987 to 1998 at Holmegaard Glassworks.

However, the series was produced by Darryle Hinz at The Glass Workshop before it was moved to Holmegaard. He had The Glass Workshop with Anja Kjær in Gilleleje from 1983 to 2002.
