Sold
Item number: 373853

Description: Height 22 cm.

The vase is in good condition, but has a busted air bubble on the side.
The vase was designed by Flavio Poli for Seguso Vetri d 'Arte, located on the glass island of Murano off Venice in the 1950s. Flavio Poli worked for Seguso Vetri d'Arte from 1934 to 1963.

The vase is blown in the specially developed sommerso technique from Murano Island next to Venice.
The technique takes many years to learn and was kept a secret for years.
A sommerso vase is made by blowing one layer of glass into the next and so on, while the glass is still hot liquid.
