Patrick Nordstrøm was a Danish / Swedish ceramicist who lived from 1870 to 1929.
He worked for Royal Copenhagen from 1912 to 1922 and helped to build their stoneware department, which great artists could later benefit from. Artists like Axel Salto, Jais Nielsen, Bode Willumsen, Arno Malinowski and many more.

Patrick Nordstrøm developed his own technique for burning the difficult ox blood glaze long before Royal Copenhagen mastered this. Despite their technical differences. Royal Copenhagen had good ovens and many technical employees, whereas Patrick Nordstrøm was himself and burned his pottery under a metal roof in his garden in Islev.

This vase is burnt in Islev in 1923 and is signed by both artists.

Viola Wahlstedt Borsi was Nordstrøms friend and neighbor. She worked for several years at Dahl Jensen as a painter.
