Royal Copenhagen Faience Blue Pheasant Chr. Joachim Aluminia
Aluminia Royal Copenhagen faience The "Blue Pheasant" dinner service re revives an original genre in European corative arts: the colourful, vigorius Danish faience from the beginning of the century. A part of the new wave inspired by nature, they enthralled the age with their refined grace and unpretentious charm. Today the faiences are again exiting a generation which seeks a return to nature and the good things in life.
The decoration, created by the painter Christian Joachim (1870-1943), is dominated by an imaginary bird in blue and yellow. The service, characterized by generous sweeping curves and lavishly arranged decorations, consists of candleholders, dishes, bowls, and vases from the artware collection of the same name for decorationg the table.
