Bio:
Svend Hammershøi was one of the most important Danish ceramic artists of the first half of the 20th century and worked closely with Kähler in Næstved for many years. His work is characterized by strict, architectural forms, calm proportions, and experimental glazes, often in muted or clear, saturated tones. Today, his ceramics from the 1920s and 1930s are regarded as key works in the history of Danish modern ceramics.
