Overglaze porcelain figurine in Danish national dress, model 12104, depicting a cook’s costume from Amager. Designed by Carl Martin-Hansen (1877–1941) for Royal Copenhagen and part of the Danish National Costumes series.

The series comprises a total of 47 figures and was produced between 1906 and 1925. Carl Martin-Hansen was recognised for his work with figures, busts and public monuments and belonged to the naturalistic tradition in Danish art around the turn of the century. The Danish national costume series is regarded as one of his most significant works for Royal Copenhagen and is known for its detailed and accurate representation of regional dress.

The figurine is made of porcelain with overglaze decoration and is first quality, in fine and intact condition.
