Large bowl “Sparaxis”, 1960s.
Sculptural and organically shaped stoneware bowl with elegantly sweeping form and a deep blue glaze with subtle purplish tones at the centre. Interior features a radiating incised pattern inspired by the Sparaxis flower — an iconic example from Stålhane’s botanically inspired series.

Bio:
Carl-Harry Stålhane (1920–1990) served as head designer at Rörstrand during the 1950s and 60s and is regarded as one of the most important figures in Swedish ceramic modernism. His works combine sculptural form with subtle, nature-inspired glazing and are considered iconic within Scandinavian design history.
