Cast pewter, rectangular form with open sides and an oval relief depicting a female figure on the top. Both marked JUST in triangle, Denmark and model numbers 260 and 78.
Condition: Signs of use, varying patina.
Bio: Just Andersen (1884–1943) was a Danish sculptor and designer, renowned for his work in pewter, bronze, and the self-developed alloy disko metal. His production during the 1920s and 1930s represents the peak of the company’s design history, where everyday objects such as matchbox holders were elevated into decorative utility items.
